Dubai is one of the best cities in the world for tourists

            Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates, which is located in the Middle East. In the last fifty years since the oil was discovered and the United Arab Emirates union was formed the cities of the United Arab Emirates started developing, especially Dubai which is now considered on of the most beautiful cities in the world and a must go place for any tourist or traveller. And now Dubai has almost all the needs for the tourist.

            The reason why Dubai attracts tourists from all around the world is because it has a lot of different kind of places to see and go to, such as Burj Khalifa which is the tallest building in the world and when you go to the highest level of Burj Khalifa you can see the beautiful view of Dubai. Also Dubai is the best city for a shopping spree because it has a lot of different malls and all of them are big and there are all kinds of shops and all the famous brands from around the globe; Especially Dubai Mall, the biggest mall in the world. Furthermore there are various ways of transportation in Dubai like metro, taxi’s and buses which are all inexpensive to ride and can take you to almost anywhere in Dubai.

            At the end of the day Dubai is just a city like any other, a city that was struggling and started with nothing, however it ended up with everything and pushing to stay as one of the best cities for tourist in the world.

Exersise #6

Main argument:

Pregnant women and those with poor immune systems are at risk post by cats.

Cats are hosts to infectious protozoa.

Reasons that support the argument:

If pregnant women become infected, the fetus can become infected by parasites and suffer serious congenital damage.

Infants may lose their eyesight and acquire motor deficits.

People with poor immune systems or AIDS protozoa can cause seizure and death.

Conclusion:

The symptoms of the disease are not evident in cats so there is no way of knowing if a particular cat is at risk.

Exercise #5

Product: New Car

1-Improved attention and observation.

i will look at what are the best selling cars in the UAE. personally i will look for a 4x4 because it will suit my needs like picking up the family and going to the desert.

2-More focused reading.

there are a lot of 4x4 cars in the car dealerships, for example the nissan patrol with its variety of exterior,interior and engine.

3-Improved ability to identify the key points in a text or other message rather than becoming distracted by less important material.

let's say that i went with the nissan patrol platinum 400, it is top of the line 4x4 with a lot of features like a 400 hp engine, slick exterior and leather interior which looks nice and drives comfortably on and off the road.

4-Improved ability to respond to the appropriate points in a message.

before i buy the car i should first book a test driving session to compare the available models of the car and get what i think is suitable for me.

5-Knowledge of how to get your own point across more easily.

after i try the car out i should see its advantages and disadvantages and also ask the dealer about any promotions/discounts if there are any or extended warranty i could get with the car.

6- skills of analysis that you can choose to apply in a variety of situations.

i can use this analysis when buying an off road motorcycle or utv.

Barriers of critical thinking

Over-estimating our own reasoning abilities 

Some humans usually over-estimate their selves by thinking they are always right, however our brains do not behave like this.

Misunderstanding of what is meant by criticism 

People think that criticism is like a one-way street that is only meant for negative criticism and not the other way, which is criticizing in a positive way.

Lack of methods, strategies or practice 

You know the phrase “practice makes perfect”? Well how will we practice something if we don’t even know how to go to the next step or if there is another way to perfection?

Insufficient focus and attention to detail 

Critical thinking is based on thoroughness and focusing on every small detail because the general idea will make you think of unrelated thoughts.

Reluctance to critique experts

Students in some countries are challenged by their tutors to view their opinions in their own perspectives or to find another way to reach their point.
